Mayssa Leão realiza exposição individual no Shopping Tacaruna

A artista recifense Mayssa Leão apresenta uma exposição individual, no Shopping Tacaruna, a partir desta quarta-feira, 23 de outubro, no primeiro piso, próximo à Área Gourmet.  A exposição é composta por 16 pinturas em tinta acrílica fluida com uso de maçarico sobre tela, alguns minis expostos nas prateleiras e uma instalação de CDs descartados, para refletir sobre o acúmulo de lixo terrestre e espacial.

Também compõem a mostra, três manequins vestidos com peças da nova coleção da marca de moda praia Via Sol, que trazem uma estampa criada a partir de um dos quadros da artista, pintado especialmente para a coleção e que está exposto no local.

As obras fazem parte de duas séries: a Cosmovisão e as Pedras Preciosas, dentro da pesquisa de Mayssa que aborda as mudanças climáticas. “Elas exploram a dinâmica cósmica: das rochas e minerais que formaram nosso planeta e como estão intrinsecamente ligados à criação e ao desenvolvimento da vida. Minhas obras são uma interseção do passado rochoso e estéril da Terra, sua evolução para um planeta repleto de vida e a delicada dança entre criação e destruição. É a força cósmica, indomável e imprevisível, que molda nossa existência e que permeia meu trabalho artístico”, define Mayssa Leão. Entre as obras expostas, há algumas inéditas e outras que participaram de exposições. O valor das peças varia de R$ 500 a R$ 10 mil, a depender do tamanho.

Mayssa Leão nasceu no Recife, em 1983. Carrega em seu DNA artístico a influência de uma família de pintoras. Sua infância foi permeada pela natureza, elemento que se reflete vividamente em suas obras. Com formação em Direito Ambiental na Espanha, Mayssa funde sua educação formal com seu talento autodidata, resultando em uma arte que dialoga com a terra e o céu. Ela explora formas abstratas que remetem a árvores, flores, nebulosas e estrelas, demonstrando uma habilidade única para capturar a essência do mundo natural e cósmico.

Seu método artístico inovador inclui técnicas culinárias, herdadas de sua experiência como chef de cozinha, onde utiliza difusor e maçarico para criar "explosões" de cores em suas telas, tornando cada obra singular e irreproduzível. A artista se destacou com prêmios internacionais de fotografia e, em 2024, participou dos 140 anos do Salão dos Independentes, em Paris, na França, com sua pintura em homenagem a Van Gogh e foi selecionada para os Salões de Pinhais/PR e Vinhedo/SP com a obra “Luz Estelar da Nebulosa da Águia”. Além de artista visual, também trabalha com curadoria de exposições.
