Artistas do RioMar Jazz Fest levaram experiências para jovens do instituto JCPM

A 10ª edição do RioMar Jazz Fest trouxe artistas locais, nacionais e internacionais para três dias de uma programação repleta de diversidade cultural embalado na musicalidade. Para além do palco do festival promovido pelo RioMar Recife, os artistas participaram de um bate-papo com os jovens do Instituto João Carlos Paes Mendonça de Compromisso Social (iJCPM) sobre a vida artística e os principais desafios da profissão.

Na ocasião, os jovens puderam conhecer um pouco mais sobre a história de vida dos artistas que estão cheias de muita resiliência, sendo sustentadas pela vontade de viver um sonho que é viver da música.

Assim, Ivan Barreto, último artista campeão do reality “The Voice Brasil”, partilhou com os jovens a importância de ir agarrando as oportunidades que surgem para que algo maior seja conquistado. O artista tem como cidade natal Arraial do Cabo, no Rio de Janeiro, e revelou que, em alta temporada, vendia picolé para ter arte do sustento garantido. “Vendia picolé na praia, mas no inverno trabalhava como servente de pedreiro. Era a oportunidade que tinha e me agarrava nelas. Vocês aqui [no iJCPM] têm uma oportunidade de ouro e devem se agarrar nela porque podem abrir portas”.

Eric Assmar é guitarrista, cantor, compositor, produtor, radialista e professor de guitarra, além de ser filho de músico. Ele foi um dos músicos que se apresentaram no festival e contou sua experiência com a música e sobre o apoio que teve dentro de casa para seguir na profissão de músico. Além disso, o artista reforçou “a importância de espaços como o iJCPM onde há pessoas que apoiam e apostam na formação”.

Entre os artistas que marcaram presença no instituto está o norte-americano Karl Dixon. O cantor é ex-integrante de um dos mais famosos grupos vocais dos Estados Unidos, o Harlem Jubilees Singers, de Nova York, e abrilhantou a programação do último dia do RioMar Jazz Fest. Em um bate-papo com os jovens do instituto, Karl conversou sobre seu início de carreira no gospel e sobre sua segunda profissão, que é dentista. Essa conversa o integrou junto aos estudantes, aproximando-os sobre a possibilidade de seguir duas carreiras, podendo aliar a paixão da música a uma outra profissão.

O assistente de coordenação do iJCPM, Geyson Stone dos Santos, destacou a importância dessa troca entre os artistas e os estudantes do instituto. “A vinda dos artistas do RioMar Jazz Fest é uma possibilidade de inspiração para os jovens do instituto, trazendo para eles o pensamento de que a música também é uma possibilidade, que é possível sobreviver, ocupar e estar no Brasil ou em qualquer outro lugar que eles queiram estar através da música. Então, essas movimentações e trocas de experiências são uma possibilidade de inspiração”.

Sobre o Festival

No mês em que se celebra o Dia Internacional do Jazz, comemorado em 30 de abril, chegou à 10ª edição o RioMar Jazz Fest, evento que já faz parte do calendário cultural da cidade e que traz como conceito a democratização do estilo musical. O evento aconteceu entre os dias 28 e 30 de abril com a participação de mais de 20 artistas nacionais e internacionais do gênero. Durante os três dias, as apresentações aconteceram no palco montado na Praça de Alimentação do RioMar Recife, no Piso L3, com acesso gratuito.
