No Dia Mundial da Água, Shopping Guararapes lança o projeto "Circuito Guararapes Sustentável"

Nesta sexta-feira (22), Dia Mundial da Água, o Shopping Guararapes demonstra seu compromisso com a preservação, educação ambiental e com a sustentabilidade, ao lançar o projeto "Circuito Guararapes Sustentável". A ideia é mostrar aos visitantes as práticas sustentáveis implementadas pelo mall em todo seu funcionamento. Haverá dois momentos distintos para o lançamento, cada um destinado a um grupo de jovens. Um ocorrerá às 9h30 e o outro às 15h. Durante ambos os momentos, os alunos do Instituto Shopping Guararapes terão a oportunidade de participar e inaugurar o circuito.

O trajeto abrangerá cinco áreas sustentáveis dentro do Shopping, incluindo a Central de Tratamento de Água. Destaque para o fato de o Guararapes ser o primeiro shopping pernambucano a implementar uma Estação de Tratamento de Efluentes (ETE). Diariamente, a Estação trata aproximadamente 1]20 mil litros de esgoto, com uma parcela significativa sendo clorada adicionalmente na Estação de Tratamento de Água (ETA) para ser reutilizada na irrigação dos jardins do mall. Essa iniciativa resulta em um reaproveitamento estimado de 15 milhões de litros de água/ano, contribuindo para a redução do consumo de água fornecida pelo serviço público e aliviando a carga sobre o sistema de esgoto municipal.

Além disso, também emprega tecnologias eficientes, como o sistema de descarga a vácuo em seus banheiros sociais, que consome significativamente menos água em comparação com os sistemas convencionais. A visita guiada passa ainda pelo Instituto Shopping Guararapes, o Espaço de Educação Ambiental Semeando o Futuro, o Ecoponto e a Nova Central de Resíduos, que foi completamente reformada recentemente.

Após o lançamento, escolas, grupos e toda a comunidade terão a oportunidade de se inscrever para visitas guiadas conduzidas por uma especialista em Sustentabilidade do empreendimento, de forma gratuita. As vagas estarão disponíveis de segunda a sexta-feira, das 9h às 16h, e as inscrições poderão ser feitas através do e-mail meioambiente@shopping-guararapes.com.br.

Espaço de Educação Ambiental com foco na flora nativa dos biomas brasileiros, oferecendo aprendizado para escolas da região.

2. Instituto Shopping Guararapes
Instituição educacional dedicada ao desenvolvimento de crianças e adolescentes em situação de vulnerabilidade social.

3. Central de Tratamento de Efluente
Instalação projetada para remover impurezas e contaminantes do esgoto bruto, podendo ser devolvida ao ambiente de forma segura, como na utilização da rega dos jardins.
4. Ecopontos
Pontos de descarte de resíduos recicláveis, a exemplo de materiais eletrônicos, papel, metal, vidro, óleo de cozinha, dentre outros.

5. Nova Central de Resíduos
Local dedicado à coleta, triagem e separação do resíduo gerado no Shopping, em parceria com cooperativas locais para reciclagem e geração de renda.
