Exposição no Shopping Guararapes homenageia Santos Dumont e a história da aviação no nordeste

O Shopping Guararapes receberá, de 20 a 22 de julho, uma exposição em homenagem aos 150 anos do nascimento de Alberto Santos Dumont, reconhecido como o Pai da Aviação e Patrono da Aeronáutica Brasileira. O evento, promovido pela Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB), contará com peças do acervo do Centro de Memória do Segundo Comando Aéreo Regional (II COMAR), além de equipamentos e informações relacionadas à atuação da FAB no Recife (PE) e na Região Nordeste. A exibição é parte das celebrações da Guarnição de Aeronáutica de Recife (GUARNAE-RF) alusivas ao Sesquicentenário de Santos Dumont, celebrado em 20 de julho deste ano.

De acordo com o Comandante do II COMAR, Major-Brigadeiro do Ar João Campos Ferreira Filho, a intenção é oferecer ao público um contato com o legado do Pai da Aviação até hoje, na atuação da FAB. "É motivo de muito orgulho para a Força Aérea Brasileira reverenciar o Marechal do Ar Santos Dumont como Patrono da Aeronáutica Brasileira e Pai da Aviação. No evento, temos o objetivo de apresentar ao público uma exposição sobre nosso herói e trazer um pouco da história desse visionário, cujos sonhos impactam até hoje nosso cotidiano. A atuação das Organizações Militares da Guarnição de Aeronáutica de Recife é um dos reflexos de seus inventos e idealismo, e esse contato com o público é uma forma de incentivar nossa população a se inspirar nesse grande inventor e a conhecer de perto a nossa Força, nossa atuação e como fazer parte da Instituição", afirmou.

O Chefe do Centro de Memória do II COMAR, Capitão Especialista Aristóteles Alves de Moraes, também falou sobre o que poderá ser conferido pelo público que comparecer à mostra. “São exibidas peças do acervo do II COMAR, destacando o trabalho dos pioneiros da aviação e da Guarnição de Aeronáutica de Recife, como por exemplo a maquete do hidroavião Fairey F III-D nº 17 Santa Cruz, utilizado na primeira travessia aérea do Atlântico Sul pelos portugueses Gago Coutinho e Sacadura Cabral, em 1922. Além disso, as Organizações Militares sediadas no Recife também trazem ao público um pouco do seu trabalho, como equipamentos utilizados pelo Hospital de Aeronáutica de Recife (HARF) na Operação COVID-19, trajes operacionais utilizados pelo Grupo de Segurança e Defesa do Recife (GSD-RF) e um console utilizado por controladores de tráfego aéreo no Terceiro Centro Integrado de Defesa Aérea e Controle de Tráfego Aéreo (CINDACTA III)”, descreveu.

Música

Durante todos os dias da exposição, o Shopping Guararapes também receberá apresentações da Banda de Música da Base Aérea de Recife. Na manhã do dia 20, a solenidade de abertura da exposição com a presença de autoridades envolvidas contará com uma breve apresentação da Banda, em frente ao espaço onde ocorrerá a mostra, no corredor da Riachuelo. Já nos dias 21 (sexta) e 22 (sábado), os músicos estarão às 19h na Praça de Alimentação do Shopping, apresentando um repertório repleto de música popular brasileira e regional.
