Mutirão do Glaucoma promovido pelo Instituto de Olhos do Vale do São Francisco é realizado no River Shopping

O River Shopping irá receber a 3ª edição do Mutirão do Glaucoma do Instituto de Olhos do Vale do São Francisco (IOVASF). Segunda maior causa de cegueira no mundo, o glaucoma atinge cerca de 1 milhão de pessoas no Brasil. A doença não apresenta sintomas no início e tem como característica o comprometimento da visão periférica. Sem o tratamento adequado, pode fazer com que o paciente perca totalmente a visão. Para esclarecer a população de Petrolina e região sobre a importância do diagnóstico precoce e tratamento da doença, o River Shopping promove o evento junto ao Instituto de Olhos do Vale do São Francisco (IOVASF) e a Cliofit Oftalmologia.
O mutirão ocorre no próximo sábado (27), a partir das 7h30, na sede do IOVASF, localizado no centro de compras. As vagas para consulta serão limitadas e terá avaliação diagnóstica clínica e complementar para o glaucoma, bem como o atendimento terapêutico clínico (colírios antiglaucomatosos) nos casos em que for necessário.
O público-alvo da ação são homens e mulheres acima de 40 anos portadores de glaucoma, com histórico familiar ou suspeita da doença em avaliações prévias. Os interessados podem agendar o atendimento no mutirão pelo telefone (87) 3024.9400
