Mais de 20 toneladas de alimentos arrecadados nos shoppings são distribuídos

Depois de 45 dias, a campanha Alimente a Vida apresenta como resultado 20,7 toneladas de alimentos não perecíveis que estão sendo destinados para diversas instituições, comunidades e famílias de todas as regiões do estado, contemplando mais de seis mil pessoas. Os shoppings montaram pontos de coleta para receber doações de clientes, lojistas e fornecedores, além da possibilidade de doar em dinheiro para conta da campanha, aplicando o valor total na compra de mais alimentos.

Os shoppings compraram, inicialmente, 9,5 toneladas em forma de cestas básicas, e mais 5,2 toneladas ao final da ação, tendo recebido o restante de clientes e do Transforma Brasil, instituição parceira da Associação Pernambucana de Shopping Centers (Apesce) na campanha.

            Todos os shoppings da Região Metropolitana do Recife participaram campanha e mais o Shopping Carpina, o Difusora (Caruaru) e o Serra Talhada, no sertão do estado. Toda as peças de divulgação da campanha foram elaboradas em trabalho voluntário da agência Mart Pet.

“Estamos fazendo uma pequena parte para tentar reduzir a fome no nosso estado, tendo a participação de clientes e parceiros. Os shoppings deram grande contribuição para proporcionar um final de ano um pouco melhor para muitas famílias”, afirma José Luiz Muniz, presidente da Apesce. Em 2021, foram entregues 15 toneladas de alimentos.

O plano de entregas está sendo feito pelo Transforma Brasil e por um dos seus braços no estado, o Transforma Caruaru. A entrega em instituições e comunidades começou logo após o Natal. “Essa ação ajuda a amenizar a fome de milhares de pessoas. Quem fez uma doação talvez não saiba exatamente, mas deu uma enorme contribuição para proporcionar uma refeição digna para muita gente”, explica Christianny Magalhães, do Transforma Caruaru, que está à frente das articulações sociais.

O Transforma Brasil é a maior plataforma de voluntariado do Brasil, com mais de 1 milhão de voluntários e 7 mil iniciativas sociais cadastradas em sua plataforma. O movimento contabiliza mais de 3,5 milhões de horas de voluntariado.

"Em Pernambuco, mais de 2 milhões de pessoas sofrem com insegurança alimentar grave. A doação de alimentos, num momento como esses, não é apenas assistencial, mas urgente. Aqui no estado, temos quase 1 mil iniciativas na nossa rede que atendem mais de 50 municípios”, explica Návila Alencastro, CEO do Transforma Brasil.
